JULIA A. PALMER

Founder & Trial Attorney

Julia is a seasoned trial lawyer with more than a decade of experience litigating complex matters in state and federal courts nationwide. Her practice focuses on business and commercial litigation, real estate disputes, contract and fiduciary matters, and high-stakes cases where strategy, judgment, and creativity make the difference between a good outcome and a great one.

What sets Julia apart is her ability to identify creative solutions other lawyers may miss. She approaches every matter by first developing a deep understanding of her client’s business—its processes, goals, priorities, and risk tolerance—and then crafting a bespoke legal strategy aligned with what truly matters to that client.

Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, Julia builds tailored strategies designed to resolve disputes efficiently while preserving leverage and long-term business value.

She is particularly experienced in managing complex, document-intensive litigation and developing discovery strategies that keep costs controlled without sacrificing effectiveness.

Before founding Honeycomb Legal, Julia practiced at a large regional law firm, where she handled nationally significant litigation for major corporations. She previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable John Preston Bailey, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia, and began her career at a boutique litigation firm in Atlanta. She has also taught trial advocacy at Emory University School of Law.

Throughout her career, Julia has represented clients in disputes involving:
  • Complex contracts
  • Construction and real estate
  • Oil and gas
  • Shareholder and partnership conflicts
  • Breach of fiduciary duty
  • Corporate governance healthcare
  • Bankruptcy-related litigation
  • Franchise disputes
  • Intellectual property
  • Antitrust
  • Securities matters
  • Allegations of fraud
  • RICO violationsExit Visual Builder

A significant portion of Julia’s prior practice involved defending manufacturers and businesses in high-exposure product liability cases, including class actions. In that work, she collaborated directly with engineers, designers, and corporate leadership to develop litigation strategy, prepare expert analysis, and protect the record for appeal. She brings that same level of sophistication, preparation, and strategic thinking to every client—regardless of size.

Admitted to practice in Oklahoma and Georgia and before multiple U.S. District Courts and U.S. Courts of Appeals.

J.D., with honors, from Emory University School of Law, inducted into the Order of the Barristers and received the Dean’s Public Service Medal.

B.A., magna cum laude, in English and Political Science from Vanderbilt University.

Alessa O’Dunadhaigh, PP, CLP

Paralegal

Alessa (“o-dune-uh-day”) is a certified paralegal with nearly three decades of experience in the legal industry. Highly skilled in document management, case preparation, and collaborative critical legal analysis she is known for her exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and her capacity to manage complex caseloads in fast-paced environments.

While she thrives on the intensity and demands that come with trial, the groundwork of a case – from its investigative and research phase to the analysis and identification of supporting evidence –  is an equally gratifying part of her work.

Having spent the first decade of her professional journey as the sole employee in a two-attorney firm, she managed every operational and legal support function of the practice. She later transitioned to a large regional law firm before coming full circle to Honeycomb Law – returning to a smaller practice that allows her to focus on her greatest passion: helping to deliver accessible and affordable high-level legal advocacy equally to all.

Alessa’s diverse legal background encompasses:
  • Transactional law: Mergers, acquisitions, dispositions and other business transactions.
  • Complex commercial litigation: Insurance defense, product liability, and commercial disputes.
  • Employee benefits law: Retirement plan qualifications/design, and executive compensation.
  • Labor and employment law: Employment claims (Title VII, FMLA, ADA, and FLSA); Employer training (drug and alcohol testing, hiring, firing, discipline, wage and hour issues, retaliation, discrimination, and accommodation).
  • Oil and gas law: Ad valorem taxes, chaining title, and extensive drill site title opinions.
  • Family law: Complex divorce actions, valuation and division of assets and debts, child custody, alimony and child support.

Being entrusted to work directly with a highly diversified range of clients—including Fortune 500 companies, major universities, large tribal governments, tax-exempt employers, and businesses of all sizes—has been a point of particular professional pride for Alessa. In that capacity, she regularly led client meetings and conducted corporate discussions independently, serving as a trusted liaison between clients and legal counsel.

As the co-owner of a graphic design and website development company, she brings firsthand entrepreneurial experience to her work at Honeycomb Legal. Having built and operated a small business herself, she understands the practical challenges entrepreneurs face and brings that perspective to supporting the Firm and its clients with a grounded understanding of the legal and operational realities of running a business.
